Cheesy, I know...
This past year has been one of the most fulfilling to date. The change to Michigan State was possibly one of the best decisions I have ever made. It got me out of my funk and woke me up to the innumerable possibilities that were all around me. I figured out a major I'm going to stick with. Survived a year in the "party" [drunk] hall. Made some amazing friends. And met a boy who wants nothing more than to be with me. He drives miles and miles every week just so we don't have to spend so much time apart. In fact, I honestly don't know what's keeping me from being near him right this second. (...oh yeah, I have class. bummer.)
And while I love my life at school. I can tell this summer is going to be amazing. Reconnecting with old friends and soaking up some sun is exactly what I'm in need of. It's been far too long since I've had a tan (literally and metaphorically). Not to mention my boy will only be 15 minutes away. Heaven.
The past eight months have brought me so many joys. Suddenly the sad and introspective music that was my comfort for nearly two years doesn't quite seem to fit. Give me something with a beat, because I'm ready to dance. :-)
