How was your trip?
Who knew that could be a loaded question....
When someone asks you "how was your trip" what are they really asking? The transportation part, the weather, the food, the temperature, the time with hubby, the shopping, travelling with the kidlet, the cultural differences?????.... Seriously, guys...It's not an easy answer, hence the blank stare...
I suppose I could just answer all of those here, under individual categories?? Now that I'm a little less Jet-Lagged...
The Transportation - going
There is nothing like travelling on the company dime. A limo to pick you up, even if it WAS 6:30am...makes everything easier. Business Class is a good good thing. 15 Hour flights from Toronto to Hong Kong...NOT so pleasant, expecially when the kidlet is SO excited she simply won't settle for sleep unless she's completely lying on TOP of me!! A couple hrs of sleep on that flight and then the lay over in Hong Kong airport.... That was a mediocre experience. K had one major meltdown but we both found and enjoyed the massage chairs in the THAI Lounge that made things all better!! We got onto SINGAPORE AIR, and K ordered a Sunrise Surprise to be served once we were in the air. Then she settled down to wait. By the time we were airborne...she was snoring and slept all the way to Singapore (3 hrs). Once we were through customs & immigration, and she saw her daddy, she literally FLEW into his arms...It was pretty cool.
Looks like I'm dragging this out... I'm tired this week and fighting a migraine so updates are gonna be slow ....
