So, aside from not being able to walk outside w/o feeling like I've just snorted a line of pollen, it's really fucked with my sinuses and lungs badly. Apparently if something CAN make me sick, it will. Oh well. I still feel fine. Just a tired from it.
I've learned that smoking is best done early in the morning and very late at night. And for the past month, every morning with my cigarette, I've kind of bonded with a little friend. We have this box on the front porch that came from my granparents house that has dishes in it. And since bleach hasn't touched that house in over ten years, we haven't taken the stuff inside yet. Well, I noticed a bird's nest had formed last month. And the mom would make her morning rounds to gather food while I would smoke. And she got so comfortable with my presence, she'd even land on me a couple of times.
Well, this morning I was downstairs drinking my tea and I heard her sooo loudly outside. So, I decided I could go for a smoke and I get outside and there's this massive snaked coiling up the nest. And naturally, me being me, almost grabbed it. But whilst throwing my two year old tantrum, my stomping made it look it up and it's head was not that of a rat snake. It's a copperhead. Yeah. Did I mention this is like a foot from where my bistro chair is that I ALWAYS smoke at? Or how about the fact that I NEVER wear shoes unless a car is involved. And both of my kids play on the porch two, and something tells me they'd try and catch a snake if they saw one. As is, they pull the whole "number 5's alive" whenever they see a damn grasshopper.
And the eggs were almost ready to hatch. WTF? I mean, really? This sucks.
