making words
I have not written anything in over 5 years
I miss being able to pound out a fic in a day or a week, I remember taking floppy disks to work and cranking out hour after hour of words
not sure where all that gumption went, I have more free time now than I did then, and yet I can't imagine spending that amount of time on fics and icons and fanmixes and comms and the sheer amount of stuff I did back then (early days of SPN)
I'm crawling thru this latest beast that wouldn't let me lie, I write in fits and starts, sometimes having to walk away for days because I just don't like it and need to come back fresh to try to work out whatever half-formed thought I had
but...
I'm writing, and it feels so damn good to type again
everyone I work with always comments at how fast I can type, I'm average at best, but still above their levels... and there's always a piece inside me that thinks but you don't know... you don't know how many thousands of words I used to pour out, stumbling over each other
so yeah, there's something about just typing, even if I'm only at a measly 7K words of what will no doubt be 7x+ that....
that feels good
