A poem conversation-response to some internet

Oct 15, 2010 14:47

155. October 6, 2010 (wed.)

We're having a tiny meeting
Mini set-list business, really
Board forces a vote for sushi, udon

Tariffs and hot stone gestures of thanks
Treyf topics ahead, gristly jokes
To leave on guests' plates at the next dinner show
.

One-woman zine sweatshop
All the sad white girls
Sewing up their abdominal aortas

After pulling novels out
We're all medicated now
That we have 2's in our ages adding weight

To the three miles of sky on our backs
Licking Rx lipstick off our teeth
As we write away the "zombie virus"

Interim years where we couldn't
Write and not writing killed our nerve
The nerves in our fingertips

Too-long nails toppling inkpots
Onto maps-- un-elaborate ancient Egyptian
Irrigation plans, a way out
Of our mind collapse

+Bonus poem! from my in-workshop dada exercise of collaging books (medical & hippy self-help amazing!)-- writing by word removal. felt a bit like i was reading army documents when i was done blacking things out.

The excrectory system

Holy always
the philosopher's quest/ion
in my blood
Hopes love bad morals
A swinging pelvis bakes
spiced food
