I'm not sure this is the best one out there because looking at hers and robertmapril's I can't begin to guess any of them, but we'll see. But I've tried to pick fandoms that people on my flist might actually be familiar with. Some of them I'm not even sure who my favorite character is yet - guess I'd better figure that out before I start to get replies...
a. Post a list of 10 fandoms.
b. Have your friends list guess your favorite character from each one.
c. When guessed, bold the line, include the character name, and write a sentence about why you like that character.
1. Jane Austen (books) - Anne Elliot She's mature, caring, underappreciated, and intelligent. "My idea of good company, Mr. Elliot, is the company of clever, well-informed people, who have a great deal of conversation" bit_of_muslin
2. LOTR (books) - Eowyn She's brave, and her potential foolhardiness works out really well. She's independent AND she has good taste in friends and love interests. math_avenger
3. Star Wars - Obi Wan Kenobi He's got such an interesting career in all of these movies. All those years between ROTS and ANH. And as was pointed out, Alec Guinness and Ewan MacGregor are awesome. math_avenger, despite my attempt at obfuscation.
4. Dr. Who (TV) - The Ninth Doctor He's got a TARDIS and he's lived for a long time but life hasn't lost its zest. I like his somewhat detached and manic style. To me, he projects a hint of "alien" that really works. robertmapril
5. David Eddings, Belgariad (books) - Silk Of the main cast, he's the most entertaining. Smart, sneaky, and sarcastic. robertmapril
6. Firefly (TV) - Kaylee She's sweet, honest, and loves her ship. blindaurora
7. Top Gear (TV) - Richard Hammond He's cute and enthusiastic and tends to have similar tastes in cars to me.manekikoneko
8. Utena (Anime/TV)
9. Girl Genius (webcomic) - Agatha I want to be her? blindaurora
10. Final Fantasy X (video game) - Auron Mysterious, brooding, and totally hot. robertmapril
So apparently I like plucky heroines or mysterious mentors. Not that everyone falls into those categories, but it's pretty close.
