Surprisingly? School hasn't been kicking my ass. I'm just majorly boring and lazy. But I do want to do more with this journal, for sure. Hmmm.
So, I went to the local
MAC store today because I have next to zero face makeup. Oh yeah, I've collected about a thousand eyeshadows/pigments, but I've never bothered educating myself on the topic of concealer or foundation. The sad thing? I'm now interested in these because I'm cosplaying Ronald Knox and I want to look the part. Freckles... are not very Knoxly.
MOVING ON-- I've always thought going to a makeup store like that and actually letting an attendent attend me would be obnoxious. That they'd push all the things and make it an awful and ultimately costly experience. Not so! The young lady who helped me out was amaaaaaazing and not annoying at all. The opposite, in fact. A total doll. Sure she showed me product after product, but she seemed to understand I wasn't going to be buying much today and I was more or less putting together a wishlist.
And damn, their stuff is godly. I ultimately bought the Studio Finish Concealer since I couldn't help myself but I'm dying for that foundation (Studio Fix Fluid or something) as well. Nnnnngh.
Their stuff is damn flawless. And the #188 brush is... is to die for. Definitely making sure I get that sooner rather than later.
There's more to say, such as their blush is actually complementary rather than bright pink and obvious on me. That their powder is glorious. But I have to get going and this post was pointless other than to amuse me and-- welp. If you're the makeup-ing type, MAC's expensive, but definitely worth it, I'd say.
Blah blah blah.
