One of the downsides of Jim's departure - not that Peter would recognize it that way - was that Peter was back to getting very little sleep half the time. With no necessity on his side to pretend like he had a normal teenage boy's sleep schedule, it was so easy for Peter to stay up till all hours of the night

Ben had talked to Peter yesterday and that was normally quite enough interaction, so he wasn't sure what prompted him to be on the third floor right now.

He was pretty sure the Force didn't care how Peter's quest for global power went, but there he was, knocking on the door anyway.

... and a squirrel getting shooed away with a, "I still have an hour," growled by Peter.

Peter... looked like he hadn't slept in twenty-four hours, while his eyes had the mad sheen of someone still hopped up on adrenaline.

He pointed a finger at Ben. "Achilles Flandres," he said triumphantly.

Kenzi wandered by with a lollipop in her mouth, then did shave-and-a-haircut on the door.

"No, Kenzi," Peter hollered, because really, that could be no one else.

"Why not?" Kenzi hollered back. Then started doing a samba beat on the door. Then tried to open it, wondering if it was locked.

It was, which was a terrible oversight on Peter's part.

"What do you want?" he whined asked.
