The Issue with Time Travel
Is that it's impossible. Now yes,there are hundreds if not thousands of theories on the subject,but lets face it time travel is impossible. The most intriguing theory (in my opinion anyway) is the multiple paths. What is it? Well,say we travel back in time,lets say to the days of the roman empire,and kill brutus instead of ceasar. What would change? Well,for the people still here,nothing. But for us and the people of the timeline we just wrecked? Everything. Shakespeare would be down a play and history would not have the cautionary tale of one of the greatest betrayals known to man. How? well the timeline the people here know is intact,but the actions of the brutus killers causes the line to branch out into another path,creating a new reality. This can be bundled with the alternate world theory as well. Example,you get chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla,in an alternate world you get vanilla instead of chocolate. All options and possibilities are covered in several different world as only one choice exists per world. Much the same as in time. So why is it impossible? Well for one,the ammount of energy needed to crack open time is massive. It would take the universe to do so. As for the wormhole theory,I view that more as a travel across the universe bit than time travel. Black holes? I've already discussed that one,no time travel there. Suppose it is possible,what can you do? You certainly cant go rewrite your own history thats for sure. Oh you can try,but it wont go the way you want it to. Its the universes way of telling you that hey,you have a shiny toy to play with. I'm the one who decides when you can play with it jackass. You can go back in time and see events unfold,sure. But you cant partake in them. I understand the view of wanting to go into the future,see how things are and come back. Thats fine in theory. But in practice its very complicated. You see things that dont exist now,and suddenly feel very out of place that they arent here and you wont live to see them. Greed will set in while in the future as well. You can take a look in a history journal to see what happens during your time and how you can improve your life in any way. I first thought of this when that show was out with the guy getting the next days paper on his step. My first thought wasnt "hey this is a cool idea" it was "he can win big on the sports games today" and "the lotto numbers are in there,easy win." That was a huge problem with that show,it had no sense of logic or reality. Yes,I know its a show but even so. The point being,time travel is a splendid idea in theory,but in practice and logic its absolutely terrible and impossible. If you go back to try and fix something for yourself,and run into yourself,guess what? Congrats,you just tore a hole in the fabric of space and time and ruined it for everyone. Good job asshole. Two entities of the same being cannot exist in the same place at the same time. It just doesnt work that way.
