A random entry of randomness

Saw this on tardis_stowaway's LJ. Thought I'd give it a go:

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's Parker ...she likes money and cereal." I'd love it if everyone who's friended me did this. (Yes, even you people who I know really well.) Then post this in your own journal. In return, ask me anything you'd like to know about me and I'll give you an answer.

I was going to rant about work, but after a few recent events, I'm just glad that I have a job. It may not be fun and they keep giving me stuff that's not my area of expertise, but it's a job and that's good enough.

I will, however, rant about a co-worker at work. They've been driving me nuts lately. I'm a very quiet person, so maybe it's just a personality clash, but I cannot stand how they keep dropping by my cubicle and randomly start talking to me. I can understand if you need to talk to me about something and that's why you're popping into my cubicle, but don't poke your head in when I'm clearly busy and trying to get stuff done. And it's not like we go on to have a decent conversation. All they do is complain. Yes, the task you're doing is not fun, but at least it'll be done soon and you won't have to deal with it anymore. Me, on the other hand, has all of this other stuff that I'm expected to do until the project is done, which seems like never at this point.

Oh, and this person horns in on my conversations, too. It happened again just this morning. I was talking to someone else about an issue we've been having, and co-worker just swoops into my cubicle and starts talking about their unrelated issues. Um, thanks for the opinion I didn't really need? I don't know. Am I being anti-social? If I was a big talker, maybe this wouldn't bug me so much.

It'd be nice to get away from it all, but now's not really a great time. The only thing I have to look forward to is the local comic book expo in April. It is the only time I actually take a day off work that isn't vacation related. I have my fingers crossed that they'll announce some Doctor Who guests soon. Oh, and it goes without saying that I'm looking forward to Doctor Who, too, whenever that comes back. :-)
