So it's been two years since I started my job and I'm still employed! Whoo hoo! By coincidence my performance evaluation happened to be today too and I got the usual "you're a valued employee and we'll do everything to keep you employed" ramble. It sounds like I'll have another project to go to but I'll also have to work part time on my current project. Boo. And after all this time and effort I've spent training my lone co-worker to do my job. I suppose I shouldn't complain. I would have been kicked to the curb months ago if it hadn't been for all the extensions I've had on this project.
I can't say much has happened since last year, though we are down to two people in my department: me and the expeditor. The same expeditor who's going on vacation starting next week so it'll just be me looking after stuff. Awesome. But this will mean I can slack off even more! At one point during my evaluation my manager asked me, "So, what do you do in your spare time?" and I totally thought she was asking me what I did when there was no work to do. For a second I thought, "OMG! They've caught on!" But no, she just wanted to get to know me a little better. I did learn today I can play Flash based videos on my work computer, which struck me as a bit odd, but I guess the web filter doesn't count it as actual video.
And on a completely unrelated topic,
rumour has it that David Tennant might replace Edward Norton as the Hulk? As much as I liked Edward Norton as the Hulk, that would be so awesome if it were true. David can so pull off the brainy, tortured hero type. And he would be in a film directed by Joss! Two things I love coming together. The same article also suggests Nathan might be up for the role but I thought he was going for the role of Ant-Man. We'll see, I guess.
