Anyone want to make me a hat? (I'll pay you.)
I feel the need for a new spring hat. I was about to buy this hat (only in 'graphite' instead of cream) from etsy:

But I know I have several knitters and crocheters on my list and thought I'd see if any of my friends wanted to be commissioned to make it. I don't expect any kind of "friend discount" or anything... it's just that I'd rather give $30 to a friend than a stranger. The pattern for this hat is available for $5 from the seller, and it is crocheted. I really don't care if the hat is knitted or crocheted, though, or if you use a different pattern as long as it more-or-less resembles this hat (generally called a "newsboy" I believe). If I don't get any takers in the next few days, I'll buy one from this chickie in New York.
