Gil was getting restless, wanting to get out of the house. So when the opportunity presented itself to go shopping, Gil jumped at it, volunteering at once

Lilah saw him get up, but wasn't too concerned that he'd get very far in the crowd. She seemed to have caused mass panic by throwing around a few chairs and couldn't even stick around to enjoy it.
A man ran past her, getting in her way and she shoved him roughly, sending him through a store window.
((OOC: Sorry, for whatever reason LJ wouldn't let me reply directly to the last comment.))
He certainly didn't need instinct to able to tell that something was very, very wrong and that he should run. There was magic in the air and not the kind that was benevolent in any way. And the mark on his arm was itching quite fiercly as well.
Gil turned and ran for it, trying to get through the mass of people that had also decided that getting away was a good idea.
She ducked under a security guard that seemed bet on stopping her, then grabbed him by the throat and threw him toward a table. It cracked under his weight and she resumed her path toward Gil.
She saw him duck through a door and tried to follow, shoving people out of her way.
He wasn't exactly familiar with this mall, but at least enough to know that if he kept running, he'd sooner or later find one of the exits. If he got out of here, he'd be safer at the very least. Slightly. At least he could find someone to help him...
He went through a door, looking around for just a moment before continuing. Clothes store and... where exactly was the other exit? Gil ignored the stares from the few costumers present and took the escalator up to the second floor and bolted out of the other exit. Looking down over the rail, he could see the chaos down below. If he was lucky, it would take a little time before Lilah could make her way up here.
She paused amid the chaos and glanced around. She could still feel him somewhere, but he'd moved fast ... upward, maybe?
"Gil," she called. "Best if you just come out now and get it over with. I'll find you in the end and if it takes me a long time I'm going to be very angry."
He backed away from the railing, hearing her and afraid that she might have seen him. He was not stupid enough to do as she said, he didn't know what she wanted with him, but it was bound to not be good.
No, he best find some stairs that led down, preferably close to the exit... First priority was to keep moving. So Gil kept running, wanting as much distance between and her as possible.

Lilah climbed up the escalator after spotting it, pausing for a moment to catch the trail the mark left for her. She turned first to her right, then continued running straight ahead, hoping to catch him before he got to another set of stairs.
((OOC: Ugh, it's okay. I just got the notif for this now.))
It's difficult to find out where to go, not knowing this place very well. Gil looks for the stairs down and thinks that Lilah is far behind him someplace... Which makes it more of a shock when he almost runs right into her.
A second later she has one hand wrapped around his throat -- painfully tight, but not enough to cut off the air to his lungs -- and the other hand forces up his sleeve, revealing the mark of Eyghon.
Gil tries to get himself free, digging his fingers into the hand that is wrapped around his throat. It isn't much use, but he has to try, fearing for his life.
He gasps for air, getting a pretty good idea of the things she could do, yes. So he stops struggling, instead going to run the moment she lets go. If she lets go. If she doesn't kill him.
Gil whimpers, not wanting to think about that, though it's difficult not to in this situation.
No... He doesn't want to die, not here, not like this. He never got to tell Lorne that he loved him, he had only just started to live, it's not... He doesn't want to die. But her grip is so tight and he can't breathe. Everything is starting to grow very dark.

She smiles, leaning in. "I could keep you alive for hours just to hear you scream."

"I think," she begins, tightening her grip even more, "that this is where you die." She smiles just a little. "I'll get you all, one by one."
