I have to say that again, because it still hasn't totally sunk in.
My album came out last Tuesday.
Everything feels so surreal, but hyper-real at the same time. I spent Tuesday at The Mall of America in Minneapolis, singing and signing. Then West Hollywood, Modesto (isn't that where
george_lucas is from?), and Akron. Thursday I'll be doing assorted NY appearances, including being on The View. It's really wild being on the other side; I've been to a few signings in my time as a fan. And now I have fans. I had them when Season 2 of Idol was going on, of course, but that felt like a group thing, and like most of them were there for Clay and Ruben. Now there are people standing in line and paying money to listen to me sing. It's something I've dreamed of for like 20 years. The fans are wonderful, I love meeting them, and the staff at venues is usually really great, too. I'm sort of nervous about seeing that the sales figures are, but I'm hopeful. Wal-Mart has it on sale for less than $10 so that should help, LOL!
I can't believe George got voted off last week :( But he's supposed to arrive back in LA today and stay at my place with Jennifer and the cats. It'll be good to see him again when I get back home.
