Mephits!!

Had a great night for RP in my weekly PFRPG: Rise of the Runelords campaign. While exploring the Runeforge in Sins of the Saviors the heroes encountered a group of angry water mephits who in irritating high pitched voices described the "mean silver man" and his hurtful magics for the PCs.

The combat with the "mean silver man" was unexpectedly short as my dice came up very poorly in the save v. baleful polymorph, turning villain to house cat mere rounds into the encounter. The irony of the transmuter being transmuted was not lost on anyone...the party druid (again soulsight ) who cast the spell opted to try for this particular justice once he realized the wizard had changed a (tiny) giant spider into a house cat in order to perform experiments on it.
We also saw the conclusion of Neveletu Voan's tragic story when Monica's ( mamaursula ) cleric cured the NPC's madness, spoke to him through the night learning much of his story and the horrors of ancient Thassilon, before leading him away from the Iron Cages and to his only mildly unexpected demise.
