First night under Pathfinder alpha playtest

We played my Rise of the Runelords campaign last night and updated the PCs to the new Pathfinder RPG playtest rules.

For the most part I didn't notice the changes in rules during play so transparency is working (at least at low levels). Characters are a little tougher and have some new choices which is good.

The skill system is cool but ripe for abuse...I don't like the old system but I don't know if there is a better one. Under the old system as a DM it can get to be tedious when making NPCs and players can loose ranks by forgetting to level up that part of the sheet and with class and cross class skills it gets hard to back count. The new system has two flaws-Little chance of customization and (depending on the new multiclassing rules) rewards a PC for taking rogue as a level 1 character for the massive number of trained skills you begin play with. I thought I had a solution but it would mess with high level skill check DCs and that would be bad.
