Ah, another weekend fades away. I was so miserable when I realized I had to get ready for class this morning. Oh well. Buffalo lost their game yesterday. Sad. I wish I had a way to watch their games. I can't stand not knowing what's going on. I half watched the Tampa Bay / Washington game yesterday. Spent most of the time watching the little box in the corner with the other games' scores to see how Buffalo was doing. They were winning until the very very end. Pissed me off. Then I watched the Atlanta game. They won. Yay! :-) And then finally I watched the Kansas City/Denver game. I wanted KC to win, but I again didn't get my way. Oh well. That was a good game though. Panthers play Green Bay tonight. I'm excited. I love the Panthers!

Work was interesting this weekend. We found out that a small college in the area printed an article in their paper saying that a student of theirs was "mistreated" at our theater. They did several things wrong: 1. Incorrectly quoted our manager, 2. Did not get our side of the story,  3. Used our company logo without permission.

Hah, we're gonna get them. Here's what happened. Two employees who were off the clock and just there watching a movie were in a theater in which there was a group of people being so loud that they couldn't hear the movie. So one of them called the office and told them that someone needed to come in and ask them to be quiet. One of our assistant managers came in, and as she walked in, she saw one of the guys climbing over a seat, so she asked him to leave. That's policy. 1 strike, we warn you. 2 strikes...you're gone. His first strike was disrupting others, second strike climbing. The rest of the group stayed with a warning. Then our manager actually gave him his money back! We NEVER give refunds when we kick someone out, but we felt sorry for him because he had to sit in the lobby and wait for his friends to come back out.

Here's what the article said. Claimed that, about an hour into the movie, the guy decided he wanted popcorn, and that instead of walking infront of his friends, he climbed over the seat infront of him to walk out an empty isle. A manager who just happened to be in the theater told him to leave without giving him a chance to explain. Then he was treated like a "14 year old hoodlum rather than as a valued customer who has paid for a service". Sorry, but you're not a valued customer if you are bothering other cusotmers.  Also, you got your money back so you paid for nothing.  The article also claimed that "anyone in the theater would tell you that we weren't bothering anyone". I guess they didn't figure that we could actually find someone who was in the theater with them to argue that statement. But unfortunately for them, like I said before...we had 2 employees in there.   Blah, dumb kids.
