Stay still

If I went back to May 15, 2004
& took a picture of today,
this is what it'd look like.

Does everything really have an
ending?
I keep memories living in my
photographs & I look back to
search for that moment.
Stolen in a picture I miss the
days when I could depend on you,
for anything.
Now I can't get ahold of you,
for anything.
Promises broken time & time again,
but these promises are useless, or so she says.
They are only useless to you,
because Im the one that needs you to keep them.
A tiring battle fueled by guilt &
the dire need to keep this memory
alive, it is so still in this photograph.
What ever happened to the girl in the
photograph?
Someone who spoke only the truth & never lies.
I put our photographs aside & try to keep our
memories alive & thriving hoping to build more.
But to preserve a memory in hopes for more to
come, that was shared by two young hearts, would
take two young hearts for this to be possible.
You make this impossible.
I tried to make this happen 6 months
in the making after the photograph stood still.
You made it impossible.
I can't wait for impossible any longer.
Our lives in my eyes are as still as our photographs.
When I think of your betraying my trust, my heart
is as still as our photographs that captured a girl
who spoke only the truth & never lies.
What ever happened to the girl in the
photograph?
Im not sure what did happen to her,
but I can't wait for impossible any longer.
