Sometimes all you need is two chords to write a hit, I guess.
I've only heard 80% of this album. And even though I wasn't a big fan of them before, this is already one of my favorites of the last four years or so. They seem to have more success with the color-coded and self-titled albums.
So there's the Red Album in a couple weeks, the Tubbies CD was out last week and the back end of the Alchemy Index last month. June will also see an EP from AFI (we think)and the next Offspring full-length. I'm particularly interested in the latter because for the first time in 12 years, the lead single isn't the shitty novelty song that's one of the two or three worst tracks in the collection.
A Finch EP in July and the long shot possibility that there just might be a proper Green Day release before the end of the year.
Saturday was funny. At first I was thinking that it was just how my luck goes. But that's not luck. There's a certain amount of coincidence involved with luck. You know, the "right place, right time" thing. This is just how it's supposed to be. Every time I find myself being even remotely interested in a girl, she's already taken. Do I have to be that dingleberry who gets ahead by stealing from others? Who am I, the President? Well long story short, she was all up ons the instant I showed up at the party. We talked through the night, getting along real well until at one point we're in a group with a few other people talking about fuck all. She's relating to something that had just been said, saying, "Oh yeah my boyfriend did that blah blah blah." That's really all I heard was "boyfriend" and "blah blah blah" before I started bleeding from the ears and had to excuse myself from the conversation. Oh well, there's always the rest of my life. And Vegas whores.
