Ugh. So I'm sick. I'm such a baby when I'm sick. I whine, and complain, and say ughhhhh a lot, even when I'm here alone. But for real, I'm sick. I don't even want to eat...yeah, now you KNOW there's something wrong with me! haha. Yesterday I had a bagel just so that I wouldn't pass out driving home from work. I'm a little better today...the chills/cold sweats have passed, or at least I hope so. The throbbing headache has dulled to an all around just acheyness, and I no longer want to throw up every time I cough, although I'm still coughing and still a little nauseous. I spent the night home alone, canceling all dates I had planned. Instead I talked to Keith for an hour. He always makes me feel better. He had called at 3am to wish me a happy V-day...and I had been pissy and grouchy....and he didn't care and called me back last night instead. Maybe I should invest more in the one guy who is always there for me, loves me unconditionally, and puts up with all my ridiculousness.
I've been on a date about once a week for the last month or so. Some went better than others. But I don't have a real passion for any of them...a huge desire to be with them any chance I get. Meh. I 'met' a guy at Kate's new years' party. (We were both pretty gone). But we've been talking a lot and get along pretty well. He lives in Worcester. I'm going to a concert there next month and he suggested hanging out while I was there. So new friends, yay! I'm on vacation officially as of noon tomorrow...so maybe I can spend that time being social and making friends and hanging out with some good beverages and fun times. We'll see.
I bought tickets for the Say Anything concert in March. I am more than excited. Aimee and Dan are also going, and one of Dan's friends, and whoever Aimee brings...it should be a lot of fun. I miss concerts with the two of them. In high school we went to probably one a month or so...usually just the 3 of us, hanging out, singing along, buying t-shirts and cd's and reliving the event the whole drive home. Growing up is hard to do.
In other news, I'm being more proactive about Abu Dhabi. I emailed the guy that's the head of it, and plan on checking in with HR to see when I can apply to go. I really want this. I love travel. I love the warm. I love the beach. And I love adventure. Abu Dhabi involves all of that. Mmmm.
Alright, off to rest before my last 20 hour shift. YAY!
