So It has been a while since I have updated, and people have been getting on my case. Hence an update.
This past weekend the NCC Drama dept. went to NYC to see a Broadway show and sightseeing.
The trip there was lots of fun...I ended up sleeping on the floor of the bus....mucho comfort.
We got to our brand new gorgeous hotel on Friday morning and relaxed before taking 10 degree cold showers.
At 3 we went into the city and made it to the United Nations by 4 for a tour....boring waste of time...whatever though....
Then Dinner at Planet Hollywood where I took my infamous condiment pose picture to send to Ben down in Florida.
Then we ran across the street to Beauty and the Beast for the show at 8.
the set was fantastic and the actors were pretty good too! I Heart Broadway! That Play solidified even further that I want to be an actor for the stage!
Saturday went to Central Park and to the tourist shop and bought some souviniers. Then Me and Joe W., JP and Mrs. Perez went to TKTS to see if we could get discount tickets for a Broadway Matinee. We DID...Row N for Brooklyn the musical...HUGE...for 50 bucks.....!!!
Then we went to NBC studios for the tour there and saw the Dateline set, the nightly news set, and the SNL set.... And Chris Parnell one of the SNL cast members walked right passed us...SO SWEET!
Then after the NBC tour we went over to the Brooklyn the musical Theatre....only to find out.....THE SHOW WAS CANCELLED!!!! I WAS SO TICKED
One of the main roles and her understudy were Sick....UGH
we went back to TKTS and Got our money back then went for some food and shopping.
Mass at St. Patricks Cathedral was at 5:30 so we went to that .... Gorgeous Church.
After mass they suggested that we could go and try to get tickets for another show and skip dinner and the Empire State Building visit.
So we left running in NYC to get to the TKTS booth and as soon as we get there....No tickets left.
So we decided to go see if we could get full price tickets for Phantom at the box office .... no luck....BUT
across the street was the Producers....No Tickets there either (trust me we begged)...not even standing room only tickets...everything was gone!
So we walked 10 or more blocks in the Dark in NYC to the resturaunt were everyone else was and by the time we got there everyone had finished and they were loading the buses to leave for Times Square, Because with the luck we had that night....The Empire State Building was Closed due to water leaks!!
So I got a pretzel at a street vendor for dinner and we went shopping and walking for 45 mins. then back to the hotel...
It was there that Jess and me went for a walk Just her and Me and the city...It was so amazing. And very much needed to just get away from everything and be together...That was probably my favorite part of the trip in fact.
Then I went back to the room and watched the first 30 seconds of SNL before dozing off.
Sunday we went to Ground zero....a church by ground zero....Statue of liberty for (not even kidding) 10 mins, and ellis Island for (not kidding) 5 mins. Then back to the main land to buy fake purses watches DVDs and oakleys.
I bought Jess 3 purses @10 or so dollars...I dont remember any more and Me 2 dvds some sunglasses and a watch.
Then off to Saginaw again.
The bus ride home was phenominal...movies volume was a little loud though....but having a long heart to heart with Jessica at 2 or 3 in the morning was so amazing and that quickly became my favorite part of the trip. Who knew that just a conversation would be the highlight of my trip to NYC!
I love you Jess.
Great NYC TRIP
