Elektrafone
Beats Antique released their new album, Elektrafone, today. This band is one I'm relatively new to, introduced via the_duckie but am enjoying a good deal just the same. After watching some of their videos, though, it's apparent to me that the reverb from their bass would kill me (going to see 30 Seconds to Mars resulted in me puking six times on Boston's sidewalks, so I know this would be worse).
They're currently streaming Elektrafone on their website. My favorite track is Siren Song, followed closely by Skytalk and, oh, all of the rest. I, ahem, acquired the album yesterday, so if any of you are interested, feel free to drop me a line and I'll upload it for you to download.
Seriously, though, you guys have to at least give this band a chance. It's such amazing music, equal parts catchy, fun, intense, and relaxing. It's instrumental. They describe their genre on their twitter page as "electro-acoustic gypsy hip hop straight from a time machine." That about covers it, yeah.
