The long weekend isn't half done yet but I'm all "partied out". They say that Halloween is a gay man's Christmas. Ain't that the truth here in Manila.
Since Thursday, bars have been holding their Halloween parties left and right. Everyone seems to be out on the streets and partying to their hearts content. Even the liquor ban that started yesterday at 11pm didn't dampen the mood much.
Friday night.
Those familiar with butterfly would know how quaint the place is. It's the bar where everybody knows your name. It's also the place where people from QC would hangout when they are tired of the Malate crowd. It's not big but big enough...except for that night. Man, was there a crowd....the clientèle even extended all the way to the corner. I think some even went to the adjacent restos just because it was so full.
Chito, my partner in crime, and I found a space between the glass wall and a table full of friends to wedge ourselves in...deciding that it was too crowded to stay for long. A camera flashed and the guy beside me says, "Thank you". Doh! We were both oblivious that the guy apparently was taking a photo with us. Soon after heckling and jeering by both the table in front of us and the one beside it ensued. I am apparently his classmate in college named Junjun and Chito was Jungjung. :P
Saturday.
As I looked at my schedule, I knew that I was faced with a daunting task. On Oct. 27, I will partying like I was in college this much I knew. I reviewed my schedule again in my head. Good luck to me.
6:00-9:00pm Fitness First North Edsa Halloween/ 1st year Anniversary Party
9:30-11:30pm Fluid bar for the "Hallowgeento" party (this deserves an entry of it own for the sheer fun!)
11:30-1:30am Carlo's birthday Party
2:00-4:00am Malate's Halloween Party
*While at Fluid bar this dog came up to me. Now I felt bad for not having a costume that night.
