Fears

We fear what we have no idea about. Which is why so many people, when they were kids, were afraid of the dark. For me personally, the dark is manifests creatures and monsters like what horror movies suggest. In my imagination, darkness takes on many different forms. Darkness is spatial kind of like being in a enormous empty room with no lights. There's no telling how large the room is or what is in the room because in the dark we confuse our senses. We fail to survey the environment we're in. In that kind of situation our senses lose touch with reality and rely on imagination to act as a substitute for it. This is where we get our fears from; from movies, experiences, memories, etc.
Different people have different fears because of their experiences. People often loathe in thoughts about their past, often regretting their actions and thinking about how things would've been different if they would've done things differently. This is why people fear failure. People are aware of all the good things that come with success, but they have no idea what happens if they fail in life.
I still have fears. Being alone on the street at night and jumping up and down on the sidewalk of a huge avenue. Again being alone is linked to the fact that we don't know what is lurking around us and our senses once again infatuate themselves in imagination. When i jump up and down on big avenues, where the sky seems endless and the cars move by in a blur, i feel like i am being sucked into the road and lose the will to jump or i lose strength in my legs.
