Hahaha, I’m the luckiest bitch alive!! My birthday is now my favorite day of the year, and Austin, Texas is my new favorite place in the world. I found out that SP was at HEB before the show started -- about two hours before actually -- but they were only there until 3:00. We made it JUST IN TIME, and I got Chuck to sign my pick. While he was doing that, David walks up behind me singing “Are We The Waiting” by Green Day at the top of his lungs and I’m thinking “You have bad timing, man,” since he came up right after Chuck signed my pick and I use that pick to play with my bass (I’m a bassist, just letting you know). Anyways, we were out in the parking lot, standing in front of the car thingy that they were riding in, and I’m going to mention that David has the sexiest voice alive. Okay, on with it. I walked away and called Cam on Megan’s cell phone (Megan was just standing there, she was too shy to go up to them and she’s a Seb lover) and told her what happened. Then I found my step-mom and we had to meet my mom at the mall at 3:00 (we didn’t make it until about 3:45) so we paged her, hoping that she would know. I saw that some people were back at the car thing and they were acting like major teenies, thank GOD I didn’t, and some chick that didn’t get to go to the concert was too nervous to go up there by herself and she asked if I would come with her, so I said, “Yeah, sure. Let’s go,” and we walked up there and this girl was screaming, “Oh my God! Can I shake your hand again?!” and they were getting pictures of the guys. David, who was sitting next to the window, rolled it up after the stupid girls left and I tapped on it and motioned for him to roll it back down. He did and said, “Hey, what’s up?” and I got out, “Hey, my friend wants you to sign something,” before the guy driving them to Emo’s (the place where the show was at) came out and said that they had to leave. David looked at me really apologetic and said, “Oh, I’m sorry. We’ve gotta go. I hope to see you later. Have a nice day,” and he sounded like he meant it. God, that guy is super sexy. So I just said, “It’s okay. You too,” and walked away, smiling, and ran into this huge pot thing in the front. I told that girl that I was sorry she couldn’t get anything signed, and I meant it. Yes, I’m sweet at times. But anyways, we left the store (it was the first and last time in my entire life I had wanted to get to a grocery store so fucking bad) and went to the mall, where my mom was waiting. She was pissed and Connie (my step-mommy) rolled down the window and I leaned over the front seat and shouted out the window, “I MET SIMPLE PLAN!!” Mom had this shocked look on her face and then she’s like, “No you didn’t.” I was like, “Oh yes I did, and they were rad! Hot too, since David made me stumble from twenty feet away, so I had fun at HEB.” Then she believed me and I held out my pick for proof. My brother was a little mad, since Chuck would have to be his favorite member, but he got over it. Then Megan and I got out of the car and I started jumping around, getting all excited and I managed to pull my hip. It sucked, but it got better before the concert. Anyways, we (my mom, brother, Megan and I) got into my mom’s car and we started driving to Emo’s, and the line was so fucking long. After an hour of waiting, we finally gave them our tickets and since Emo’s is a club, Megan, Zach and I had to get an “X” stamped on both hands and my mom got “Krusted” stamped on the inside of her wrist. We were waiting for the longest time for the doors and gate to open and when it did, people started piling in and ignored the gate, so we ran for it. We were almost in the front row but I went over to the merch booth to get a shirt for Trilby since she asked me to get her one at the show, and Pat was uber hot, and I loved his tip box. And I’m sorry Sarah, but I forgot to mention that you were having his children, many apologies. After I had gotten Trilby’s shirt, I went over to the F.Y.E. booth and got a CD and a wristband to get into the meet and greet after the entire show. My brother is a tiny guy and somehow managed to sneak to the front while Plain White T’s were playing. Those guys were fucking rad and when the singer clapped his hands I thought it was so cute. I’m getting their CD when it comes out in January. Mae, I didn’t like them so much. Their songs sounded just about the same. Finally, Green Day started playing through the speakers (the CD, not the actual band) and it went to about track 10 before everyone started screaming and Simple Plan took the stage!! It was awesome and David came out and went straight to the mic after getting his bass with the Green Day sticker on it and shouted into the mic, “Hey!!! This is by far the fucking greatest show because the second we came out, you guys started screaming!” Pierre came out and said that Austin was his favorite city in the whole U.S., probably because of 6th street, where everyone parties. They played “Shut Up” and everyone was jumping. Then they would say things in between each song and they were so fucking funny! Then they played “Addicted” I believe, and it was awesome. In the middle of the song, Pierre said, “I need help singing. Which side do you think should sing with me? This side *points to other side* or this side *points to my side*?” Everyone on my side shouted as loud as they could and David picked my side. Then he was like, “Aww, I’m gonna go help this side out with it,” and he walked over to the other side and Jeff was all motioning with his hands, his actions saying, “Don’t fucking listen to him.” Our side was much louder and it rocked. Then after that song, Pierre looked over at the merch booth and said, “Hey, where’s Pat?” and David was like, “Ohh, I know what he’s doing.” He smiled and Pierre said, “Do you think he’s getting some?” David said, “Yeeeppp.” Everyone laughed and I shouted as loud as I could. Then Pierre said, “Okay everyone. We need you to jump as high as you can because this next song is called ‘Jump’!” The crowd went wild I tell ya, and they started it and every single person in there started jumping. (I’m sorry, but I forgot the order of the songs they played, it was too exciting to remember.) After that, they looked back over to the merch booth and said that Pat was back and he was making out with someone. Then they argued whether it was a guy or a girl. They finally decided that it was a chick and played “I’m Just A Kid.” Then Pierre said, “Does anyone in here have a dream? Do you dream of being in a band? If so, then follow that dream, it’s worth it. This song goes for all of you.” It was “Me Against The World” and I had the time of my life. Then after that song, David said, “Oh, it was cold in here at first, but you guys turned the heat up! You are all sexy, hot people in here. I can feel it!” I was happy that he said I was sexy, haha. They played “God Must Hate Me” and everyone had a blast, I’m sure. Then Pierre started talking about how he was happy to be here and he said that this song was for everyone there and they started “Happy Together.” The guys all jumped up and down so fucking much, I swear I thought they would make that stage fall. Then after that song, David said, “You guys aren’t jumping a lot. I want you to break the fucking floor. I don’t see this fucking floor broken,” so everyone started jumping. It pleased him, I’m sure. Then, the guys started playing “Welcome To My Life” and Ashlee Simpson’s “Pieces Of Me” started playing through the speakers and Pierre was like, “What the hell? That’s not what we’re playing!” David started coughing and said, “I think I have laryngitis.” I laughed, and now I’m even prouder of my man. They played the song finally and then David shouted for his cat ears. Pierre brought some out and put them on his head…only they were black bunny ears. David looked up at them and had this sad, blank look on his face and said, “Oh umm…thanks for the bunny ears.” Then he did his laugh thing where he looks so darn hot and said, “I’m just kidding!” He took his Plain White T’s hoodie off and he was wearing a black shirt with white sleeves and the shirt said, “Pink” in white letters and it had some number on the back. Then SP played “Promise” and Pierre was like, “Take my hand, Austin,” and he reached his hand into the crowd, holding as many people’s hands as he could. Then he drank some water and gave the bottle to someone. Lucky bizatch. Anywho, they played the rest of that song and a few more songs and went offstage. Everyone started chanting, “Simple Plan,” as loud as they could and Chuck came back out and said, “Hey everyone. I’m the guy in the back so I haven’t gotten to say anything. I just wanted to tell you that you all fucking rock!” Seb came out while everyone was cheering (I forgot to mention that he gave Megan the “rock on” sign) and he took his guitar. Then everyone came back out and they played “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” by The Darkness and every light was turned out. It was hilarious and I sang with them. Then David asked, “Does anyone have a lighter? A cell phone? Because this next and last song is called ‘Perfect.’” Megan got out her cell and we had it lit up and waved it in the air until the song was done. Then we went to go into the meet and greet line and finally, the guys came out. My mom was sitting on the bench thing and she got up and Pierre sat down where she was (she has a major crush on him, so I’m sure she was happy) and Seb came and sat down next to him. I said, “Hi,” really quietly to one of them, didn’t matter which one, and Seb looks over at me and said, “Hi.” He sounded so shy! After waiting forever in that line, we got to the guys and David was the first one, then Jeff, Chuck, Seb, and Pierre. My mom pointed to me and said, “I just wanted to mention that today’s her birthday and it has been her ultimate dream to meet you.” I started turning red and David said, “Awww.” Then he looked over at me and smiled and said, “Hey I remember you!” I was like, “Hey, I remember you, too.” He laughed and I gave him my CD and ticket to sign and Megan said, “Oh yes, she remembers you.” David said, “What was that?” and she said, “She always has and she always will.” He laughed and I was still standing in front of him when Jeff said, “Hey what’s up?” and I’m thinking, “Wow, too many people talking to me at once.” I was about to get Jeff to sign something when David held out his arms and pulled me into a hug and whispered, “Happy birthday,” to me. I had shivers going down my spine and I said, “Thanks,” really quietly. Then he rubbed my back a little and pulled away. I could hardly speak after that. Jeff told me happy birthday and I almost forgot to hand him my ticket to sign and he’s like, “Do you want that signed?” I said, “Oh yeah! Yes, I want it signed,” and he took it and signed it and gave me a hug. I got to Chuck and he kept thanking me for coming to the show so much that I hardly got a word in. Then I went to Seb and he looked up at me and said, “Oh hey! Nice hat, that’s a really cool hat.” I said, “Yep, thanks.” He signed my CD and passed it to Pierre really fast and then got my ticket and signed it. Zach was just about to leave and he said, “Oh it’s her birthday and she loves you guys,” and Pierre leaned over and hugged me and told me happy birthday while I was still in front of Seb. Then I went over to Pierre and he gave me my stuff and Seb looked over at me and said, “Happy birthday!” Then I had to leave. My mom handed me a poster and she’s like, “It was yours.” I had forgotten that I had gotten a poster along with the CD I bought, so now I have four things signed, and three of them are hanging on my wall right now (the CD is sitting on top of my “entertainment” center). Now I’m thinking that if my hair didn’t look like shit, I would’ve given Seb my hat. I told all of them thank you after they all said happy birthday to me and they were total sweet hearts. Especially David and that back rubbing, ear whispering maneuver he pulled. It was fantastic. I had the best time of my life; David remembered who I was after six hours and 10,000 faces. Excellent day. I miss them now. Well, if any of you get to see them, have fun! Oh, and by the way, David has a sexy nose ring; you don’t really notice the lip ring so well at first but that nose ring…wow. Pierre loves his hood up on his jacket and he was uber hot, Pat loves his mohawk, Jeff is fucking rad, Chuck is a lot taller in person, Seb is cool and he loves my hat so get a blue trucker hat that’s dark blue cloth and light blue plastic, white outlined oval and light blue on the inside with two white dice and he’ll like your hat too, and you will either stumble or run into something (or both, like me) when you see them in person for the first time. Have fun, Poptarts!
