Don't speed in West Texas

This weekend I went to a Kappa workshop with four other of my fellow Kappa brothers in Weatherford, OK. We left late Friday afternoon and made the 7 hour journey. Just before getting to Amarillo out of nowhere a cop comes up from behind me and pulls me over. I was doing 78 and the speed limit was only 65 but considering there was virtually nobody on the road why would they be setting a speed trap? Anyway, the cop was actually nice about it and let me off with a warning, but basically the Texas State Patrol is obsessed with pulling people over as we saw them again on the way back pulling people over. Well from that point on I drove a little slower and we didn't get to our hotel until almost 2 in the morning.

The workshop began the next morning at 9, so we didn't get very much sleep. The workshop itself was fun and a good opportunity to see whats going on in our district and meet other people in Kappa Kappa Psi and our sister sorority Tau Beta Sigma. The workshop ended and after saying our goodbyes we headed back on the road to drive home. Got back at about 11PM and was very tired.

Today I went to church and played at the women's basketball game that was being shown on national TV. The women blewout TCU and I had a lot of fun. I would post more/more often, but not a lot exciting going on. Go Lobos!
