Another Brief Update

Well, classes are going to keep me busy this semester that's for sure. Once basketball season is over, that will free up some time though. We have rehearsal for the basketball band on Thursday and our next game is on Saturday. Speaking of our men's basketball team, they stink! 25 in a row losing streak in conference games away from home. Two ( Read more... )

Hey Matt...

Don't worry too much about Valentines day. I'm actually haveing my first "real" valentines day this year. (real meaning with a boyfriend).

As far as what you said about women, yes, all of those are true in some situations for some people. As some advice, I know this sounds old...but become friends with girls first. Alot of girls are really scared off by someone making moves on them if they don't even know them. (If they dont' know them, how are they supposed to know if they like them?). Another thing I've seen with guys is that when they pick a girl they want to go after, they become so overzealous that it scares the girl off. They come off as a stalker, when all they wanted to do was show her that they had feelings. How to know if a girl likes you...well, this varies. Not all dogs have spots, not all girls show they like a guy the same way. But for the most part you can tell if she starts acting differently...giggles more then usual, touches you (ex: your arm, pushes you playfully etc), gives you hugs, just plain flirts...or maybe you catch her looking at you...that sort of thing. I always figured, its better to find the right person, then to date 5 million wrong ones. Don't worry. Give it time and you'll find the right girl. And my last piece of advice. Behappy with yourself, like who you are, be confident, and don't worry about finding a girl. The moment you forget you're looking for one, is when she'll show up! (sorry that was so long, but I had a moment of inspiration :)) good luck.

Corinne,
Your advise is good and I usually do the things that you suggest. My philosophy is to try and become friends first like you say. As far as signals go...yeah, I think get the most mixed messages of anyone. My frustrations at this point are both in general and with one or two in specific who I won't name. You are absolutely right though, better to find the right one than a lot of wrong ones; however, you won't necesearily know what "right" means unless you've experienced a little of the "wrong" in my opinion. Congratulations on you and your boyfriend and things for the insightful response. Yeah for moments of inspiration!
