Man. You think after the $12,400 I put as a down payment on my house and the $2000 closing costs I'd be done with spending money on the house (except the obvious stuff like mortgage payments), but NOOOOO. I just spent about $2200 on appliances (fridge, range, washer & dryer) and although that's a pretty good deal considering how nice my appliances are, its a lot that I put on credit cards that I have to pay off. GAK. Also, I just bought a mower for $200 and over $100 of blinds that will only cover 3 rooms. That's right, I spent $100 on basically the 2nd cheapest kind of blinds available (not vinyl mini blinds, but the fake wood) and it covers my bedroom and the two bathrooms. The other two bed rooms, kitchen and living room are going to have to be naked for a while. I still have to paint (there's only two rooms who's color REALLY bug me), get a few new light fixtures/ceiling fan lights (there's a decent amount of those that piss me off), but at least I like the flooring and some of the paint colors. I need to install shower curtain rods and buy at least one more shower curtain too. Eventually, new faucets may be an issue.

Also, I've started a new quarter of grad school and barely feel like I've done anything. As far as I know I haven't missed an assignments, but doing this little work at any point during grad school always freaks me out and makes me assume I've missed something or that I should be preparing something way ahead of time.
