A sad time in Happy Happy Bunny Land
It's a sad time in Happy Happy Bunny Land (the name of Valerie's soon to be released internet cartoon). The creature who inspired the cartoon characters who have rocked the school over the last few months, has died. Bun Bun was a part of our lives for seven and a half years and, towards the end, wasn't moving as fast as he did when he was young. We still have two turtles and a dog.
Environment Canada has issued a weather warning again and we are supposed to get another 50 mm of rain. This doesn't sound like much but when it falls on the mountains, it all slides off into the rivers and causes huge floods. They are saying that we will have had an all time wettest June on record and are going for an all time wettest, any month. The strange thing is that with all this rain the water system is in a state of emergency. The reason is that the rivers where we get our water is so full of silt and mud that the filters and treatment centers can't work efficiently.
