I wrote more words between yesterday and today, and that completes the scene I figured out was missing in the start, so that's done.  Except for those big gaping holes that I need to take some spackle to in an attempt to cover them up and hope no one notices, I'm willing to call it a Draft Zero.

Now to go through it and get it into Draft One shape -- in a less pathetic version that will not make a beta cry.
