New Year's Eve and Stuff

I've had an eventful day for the last day of 2012 -- and it's not over yet, but so far, this has happened:

• Creepy Old Guy at the gym caught me off guard and enveloped me in a gross, sweaty hugs, and I have no idea why he thinks mingling sweat is okay, but it wasn't my fault that the 40 pound weight I was holding happened to slip out of my hand and

Sounds like a good year even with the occasional mishap! As for sweaty gym man, well, that's just odd. Creepy old man is creepy! If you do the PhD programme, good luck! I'm in one right now and while it's so much work, if you love it, it's so much fun and completely worth it. Something I remind myself of constantly...

I hope you get a positive letter for the novels you sent out! :)

The PhD program, interestingly enough, hasn't been on the plate after I finished my MSc; it was such a horrible experience with an absent and unsupportive advisor that I'd sworn never to do a PhD. But a project came along and I'm thinking about it, but we'll see.
