Compilation: LM in one PDF

Oct 19, 2012 05:27

So this happened:

Someone decided to compile all current parts of LM into a single PDF (don't even get me started into the whole dear God, why reaction that I had on hearing this.  Each part of LM is enough on its own, never mind all together.  The word count.  The page number.  Holy shit) for their own use.  Then one of their friends asked for a copy, but the person who compiled the parts together contacted me for permission to distribute.

Since AO3 offers PDF format of each part for download, I don't see why I should object to all the parts in one PDF (dear God, why??) as long as the text remains unchanged.  And, well, this person (I'm not sure if they want themselves identified, so for now I am leaving them anonymous) put the file up on Mediafire for download.  I don't have an objection to this, either, since, well, if people want to inflict themselves with the pain of all of LM in one PDF someone put in that much work to compile the document, why not share it with more than just one person?

I suppose in a way it's a work of fan... compilation?  But either way, it's flattering and the effort put into this is appreciated.

This PDF file will be updated with each part, and there's a tumblr dedicated to letting people know where the files and future updated files are available for download.

No, I'm not behind the tumblr.  I still don't have a tumblr.  I'm afraid of signing up because I might get swallowed into the abyss that is tumblr, and I'll never crawl out of it to write.  But at this point?  I'm tempted, because all the cool stuff seems to be happening over there.

Edited to remove the direct download link, since it is subject to change, so please check the tumblr to get the most recent version.

Also edited to reveal the person behind this oh my God are you nuts pet project: j_aspie  Go and hug the right person. *points*
