I can't brain today

Sep 24, 2012 20:11

Or at least I could, earlier, at, oh, I don't know, somewhere before lunchtime came around in another devastating example of just how stupid things are right now at my workplace, because it's been two weeks -- going on three -- and I've had every single one of my lunches interrupted.  By the time I got back to my desk, in my office, which has a ( Read more... )

I so much want to read Part 10, but I'm soooo behind with my mpreg fest submission... :( Reading will have to wait a week or so...

You're scaring me a bit with the talking of 'death threats' and 'breaking someone' though...

And I understand your frustration over interrupted lunch breaks. As cashier in our small supermarket, I'm usually called at least once or twice to help with the queue... It's annoying.

Oo, I look forward to your submission! :D

Oh, no worries, the death threats are for me but they seem to be a constant thing because of the thing I do -- I end the fic. Everyone doesn't want me to stop or something...

Lunch interruptions SUCK. A lot.

Crap! You put out part 10? *wails*

I am in the same boat as elirwen but I may try and sneak a peek cuz my brain isn't working at all right now. I have a pesky house-guest who I love to death but has been a major distraction. Every time I settle into a writing groove, she interrupts me. If I ask her to give me quiet time, she goes into a snit. So, yeah, not getting much done on my mpreg fest fic atm.

As much as I love having house guests around, I'm always happier when they go so that I can get on with stuff that I'd rather do, like, oh, write Merlin/Arthur smex. Otherwise I can't write at all because they're looking over my freaking shoulder.

But if she goes into a snit when you ask for quiet time??? GEEZ. That's kind of rude. She's your houseguest; you're not her entertainer.

She's kind of rude but it doesn't matter to me cuz I love her, warts and farts and all!! She left last night but dang it, she's gonna be back on Wednesday! So much for a break.

I should explain that she's also my bestie so, she kinda gets a pass on being a rude bitch ;-) She drives me up the wall but I wouldn't trade her for the world. She has even more good qualities than bad. It's just that old adage about fish and houseguests, you know?

(Only with her it was 3 weeks and not 3 days!) Anyway, I have four days to write! Woo hoo! That should be all I need...I hope!

...Someone actually took a bite of your food? Not only is that incredibly rude, but it's disgusting as hell? Do you work with children?!

As for tumblr, here's a quick summary of what's going on the "loaded march" tag:

OH MY GOD, 10 IS UP! AHHHHHHHH, FUCK SLEEP/HOMEWORK/WORK/MY LIFE, READING NOW!

Awww, that scene, right in the feels! And wow, the sex is hot!

...wait, what. WHAT.

....WHAT.

*dissolves into blubbering mass of tears and gifs*

I'm probably actually downplaying the reactions people are having. BUT NOW YOU KNOW.

Em... I would throw the biggest knicker-fit of all knicker-fits if someone took a bite out of my food! I have issues if someone takes a sip of my tea! Oh God *shudders* That's just gross...

I looked at Tumblr once and retreated post hast =) I don't think I have the ability to wrap my little mind around it!

Oh... and Part 10 - you did it, and I know I knew you would (does that even make sense) but yeah, you actually did. You posted on a Sunday night -- I was back nito Uni after my days off because of concussion, had to be up in five hours and you posted. *shakes fist* But I LOVE YOU!!!!! I havebn't left you a comment, becasue well, I'm not the most coherant of people at the best of times so I will after I do a reread but I have one thing to say -- BubblePop rocks!! I don't really freak out when that happens, but most of the time I end up not finishing my lunch. Though honestly? I'm not one to talk considering when I caught my dog eating my chocolate cake, I just ate around what he licked at. *shrugs*

I'm disgusting, I know.

I'm so sorry about the timing! How is your head?
