De-anoning Summerpornathon

Jun 27, 2012 17:37

In the continuing series of I wish everyone would remove the warning labels and let nature sort itself out bad days, I am covering for one person who is on vacation and who asked me to keep an eye out for rush jobs, covering for a second person who didn't ask me anything but who is fortunately answering his emails, dealing with an absent manager who may or may not have gotten us into something of a pickle and for which I want to slap him for, banging my head on the desk over a client who has a ridiculous request, and trying very hard to be civil to a high-maintenance client who sends two dozen emails in one day because she wants a lot of hand-holding.

I was exhausted yesterday.  I'm exhausted today.  What makes me even more tired is realizing that today is only Wednesday.

Fuck.

Anyway, I've mentioned that I signed up for summerpornathon and that I would (most likely) de-anon my entries as I'm able.  The question is... do you want to see the version that was posted -- the one I had to first use a machete to trim down the word count, then a scalpel to make sure it made some sort of sense, or the version that would have been posted if I didn't chafe at the upper limit of 750 words?

And in honour of the question, I am giving you a poll:

Poll Sucker for punishment
