i think that great momentum that we all experienced was driven by the fact that we were all fully aware of our state of limbo at the time. that time period where we were all scattered was a nightmare and a total disruption to our regular living habits... so to take it off of our minds, we took advantage of our lack of regularity and submerged ourselves even further into irregular things (such as your disney trips). now that a vast majority of us are settled back into the slump of every-day routine (college semesters, work, dangerously low bank accounts, ugh!), we're all really feeling that slump even more than we usually would. personally, i have been in a classroom every single month since january of last year, and i'm getting tired of it. i haven't had the time to fully address the lack of attention that i've given to those that i held so closely to me when it mattered most back then. hopefully this summer you'll stumble across a renewed demographic amongst the youth of new orleans as many of us get our first real break since the limbo phenomenon of fall '05. as for now, i think your road trip ideas sound like something you should take full and fierce advantage of. hopefully you start to feel renewed and refreshed over the course of the next several weeks.
