i love when work goes by fast, even when they stick you with early breaks and lunch. yeah. and when you don't even have e.time to look forward to. whenever i first got there i found a position and sat there, wiping the keyboard down, taking my headset out etc. wasting time until my start time at 1:30 i was reading the scroll board (still have no idea what this thing is really called) where they show the date, any new info and stuff...it said that this girl i work with was injured last night and was at the hospital. we later found out that she was shot by her ex-boyfriend and is in stable but critical condition. it's really sad, and shocking and set the tone for the day, my friend michele is pretty good friends with her so she was confused and worried. i feel bad.
there weren't too many annoying customers today, thankfully. in the evening i was growing bored, and tired..so i began writing notes (ooh! which is forbidden!) to michele to make time go faster. it was really funny at one point..i had taken my bra off because it was just. that uncomfortable i didn't even bother to go to the bathroom or anything, just sat right there while typing/talking and wiggled out of it...so i wrote her this... "i just took my bra off. ha! it was cutting through my fat rolls. i had to. i feel much better." i passed it to her, and all of a sudden that song "free falling" popped into my head..in my brain i was thinking..and i'm freeeee...freee fallinn'" chuckling to myself since i was now nice and comfortable..and free. hehe. so. she wrote back saying..."you're free falling! (hahaha we think alike) i wanna do that..rebel against the system..burn baby burn. haha. love it. i'm still mad that someone stole my lunch." yeah hi someone stole her lunch! i hate that about my work, people are shitty, and weird.
anyways, later on i found out i had been observed by nicki who is really awesome. i was surprised because i thought i'd already been observed twice this month, so when i saw the white light on..(which indicates someone is being listened to) i didn't think it was me, so i didn't kiss extra ass. ha. it turns out that my manager did it once on october 25th, and once just a week and a half ago maybe. so, yeah. it really was time or another one. and despite not kissing extra ass, i did fine, got a 100%, and she laughed because during my 20 calls it took her sooo long to do it because i kept getting a bunch of crazies. frustrating, but somehow, i am able to keep completely calm. whenever you get 100 you get to pick something out of this box of crap, they'll have picture frames, candy, plastic cups, notebooks, etc..you know.. dollar store stuff..and i got this 'auto litter bag' since my car tends to get really messy. maybe it will come in handy. i spent as long as possible trying to ask her questions about the newer billing procedures, since i really don't understand them that well yet, and i wanted to stay off the board as long as possible. the max for being pulled off to talk about an observation is only 15 minutes, and made sure to waste that whooole fifteen. yes yes.
ian called my phone at around 4 something, and oooops i forgot to turn it off before i came in...we aren't allowed to have our cell phones on in the building so, it completely startled me. bitch! it was buried under mounds of shit in my purse, so i had to fumble to find it while each ring got louder and louder..and at the same time trying to focus on the call i was on, hoping that the in-charge's or managers did not hear it going off. ha. very nice. i listened to the message later, and yeah. ugly.
ack. i still have to figure out vacation days. and insurance stuff. i am not wanting to pay 30 dollars a month for health-net, but i really don't want to have to switch. blah. i'll see. hm.
after work i went to fastrip for pepsi and sprite. bought two big spin scratchers but only won a ticket back. oh well.
