I've seen a few articles, lately, about people running in to trouble in US airports
because they were overheard speaking in a foreign langauge, or
wearing a t-shirt with writing in a foreign script This, to me, is a deeply distrubing level of paranoia. And if it keeps up, we're going to have to stop calling them "international" airports. I wonder if the TSA is going to release an approved languages chart.
I keep thinking of headlines like:
Police Thwart Attempt to Smuggle
Plosives on to Plane
or
Authorities Suspect Weaponized Word Virus

Bruce Schneier article that came out after the liquid explosive scare. He makes the argument that our paranoia is what terrorists want, and that we're letting them have it.
