This morning Tom helped me start to learn how to slack-line in the Plaza of the Americas. I've been working with a lot with imagery of figures walking across lines that stretch across the composition so I thought it would be interesting to shoot pictures of myself walking across an actual suspended line instead of faking the poses. It was really difficult, but I think I caught on fairly quickly. I got so I could walk the line with only holding onto one of Tom's fingers, and during some parts I was balancing the palm of my hand on the tip of his finger. I couldn't manage to take a step by myself though. I still think I did pretty good. We were only out there for like an hour
That's Tom's friend Kristin holding my hand so Tom could shoot the pictures.
In this one I wanted some shots of falling off the line. Falling off was really easy to do. ^.^;
Yay for trying new things. Boo for general anthropology today at 3.
