We're back!

It was such a great trip. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is gorgeous, Myrtle Beach was awesome and even up north in Bellaire was a ton of fun. Lots of driving though haha. I'm pretty much going to do a short picture tour, there's a lot more pictures up on myspace.

We started off near Gaitlinburg TN in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

We drove on a one-way, TINY road to get to a 1.3 mile hiking path deep in the forest to whats called the Grotto. It was the shortest path and with not getting any sleep the night before because we were driving, we decided the best one to take. It was gorgeous.

After that it was probably around 1pm so we decided to get on our way to Myrtle Beach. Neither one of us could sleep so we decided getting there before we crash would be good since we hadn't slept for 24 hours or so. This is the view from Jennie and Matt's hotel.

Our hotel was on the same complex, just down the boardwalk a bit. This is our view. This was also right before we went to the best restaurant ever. Thoroughbreds. Mmm... I had Pistachio Salmon and it was delicous.

After Jennie and Matt's wedding, we went around to the fancy hotels to take pictures in their courtyards. It was good times. Very pretty.

This is the view from the pier. Our hotel is the 3rd on the left... the shortest one haha.

Zack and I walked a good portion of the beach. We stopped and ate lunch at this fishermans pier.

That dark spot is a huge school of fish. Fisherman were catching them and then selling them as bait.

Group shot on the last night we were there. I had drank 2 long islands that came from the poolside bar, which made them waaaayyy strong. It was delicious though haha. That was our drinking spot of choice because we could either walk on the beach home or the boardwalk home.

On the very last night we were there, Zack and I decided to spoil ourselves and splurge on dinner. We tried some Sushi for an appetizer then Zack had King Crab Legs and I had Lobster. Mmm it was so worth it haha.

On Friday, we left at 5:30am, picked up Gibson in Lansing at about 9pm, then made it up to Bellaire by 12:30am. LONG DAY. But Saturday my mom's cousins were marrying. It was a duel wedding between a brother and his fiance and his sister and her fiance. Kind of complicated, awesome wedding haha. It was a 15 minute ceremony out on the island in the middle of the lake. There was 100+ people on it, and even Gibson was able to come. (Note the beers in peoples hands in the 3rd picture haha)

Redneck Yacht Club

The wedding was at noon, then we headed to the Sandbar and proceeded to drink about 15 bottles of Asti at the "pre-reception party". We left the sandbar around 3pm, changed, then headed to the reception at 5pm.

Zack and my sister had a bit of a water fight. Zack was going to throw her in the lake when we got back to my Grandma's, but he got tooooo inebriated to do it haha.

On Sunday, my Grandpa was in a car show and they stopped traffic flow through the town of Bellaire to do it. The very first car on the left is my Grandpas. Soon he'll have a red truck out showing too, but it's still a work in progress.
