bridge
I like bridges..alot. and I like the twin cities..alot. I lived in Minneapolis last summer and if I hadn't been starting school I think that I would have stayed there.
which is to say that watching the footage of the bridge collapse in Minneapolis is really horrible. I lived maybe ten blocks from that bridge and took it almost every day. sometimes I would make my ex drive just so I could get a better view up the Mississippi with all the bridges and mills. (you can see the Mill City Museum in a lot of the newsclips which is where I learned about the explosive nature of flour dust).
I only lived in Minneapolis for three months but it feels a lot more like home than most places. I feel a bit like I'm mourning for architecture or maybe for a city that could have been home.
