Hey I hope everyone had a great 4th. Here is my happenings from today.
Today was our last solo that the re-trains had to do. I think it went well. We saw a dog on leash and the owner was telling the dog that our dogs were working so her dog couldn't play with our dogs. I am pritty sure that that dog didn't understand anything that that lady was telling it. Then a biker didn't see us when they were sitting in the middle of the side walk. The last crossing we saw a mom and her 2 kids and they didn't speak English and they were like saying no go go its a dog. I think they were scared of the dogs. We had a bbq on the deck for the 4th. It was really good I had a burger. This afternoon I get to start free lanse. I think we are doing country work. Well country work went ok I guess. Fiona did well except she pooped in harness again and was very sniffy. Oscur doesn't want me to leash correct her much and if I do just very lightly. this makes sense a bit but sometimes I verable correct her and it works. Other times she is already actively sniffing so I wouldn't think a light leash or verable correction would help much. I am not saying that I want to lay her out I am just saying to give a little bit harder correction. Oscur told us that he would rather want us to verable correct the dog then leash correct. I also don't want Fiona to think it is ok to poop in harness. Sorry I am not trying to complain because I really really do like fiona and I think we are starting to make a good team. The only part that I don't like about her is how sensative she is and that she poops in harness. I talked to some other classmates and asked them what they thought about Fiona being very sniffy on our afternoon trip and about her releaving in harness. I got some good advice. I played air hockey tonight after dinner. It was really fun. Then we put together our harnesses and we can start using them on Friday, YAY. Then I played spades. On our last park it was poring outside. Fiona doesn't seem to mind the rain so this is a very good thing.
