Dude, I thought Episode III kicked ass. My brother and me got one of those Darth Vader slurpees at 7-11 on the way there. There was a hell of a lot of people in costume, but nothing too amazing. Mostly simple jedi costumes. We got there around 10. It was an 8-screen theatre and they were all playing SW. We actually didn't have to wait outside, but some people had to. But man were there some mega-geeks there. I was surprised to see a decent amount of teenage girls there. I think there were 5 kids in our theatre, all boys around 10 or so. There were a lot of people having mock lightsaber battles. I took some pictures, but they came out crappy. One of the little kids there (nicknamed "Yoda") was pretty good with a lightsaber and ended up getting on the news. The 2-hour wait went by quickly and damn if it wasn't worth it. I was really impressed with the movie, it actually exceeded my expectations. But that's not to say that it didn't have it's faults. I mean, major Star Wars fans will tear the new movies to shreds, so I'd hate to see what a non-fan (or someone who had never seen a SW movie) would think of it. Me and Mike are going to see it again, and Tim and Jess still need to see it. I dunno if my dad would go. But this time, I want to see it in a digital theatre. I thought the movie was pretty violent at parts. I can see why it got a PG-13 rating. Every other SW movie has been PG. I've heard that the movie was orginally rated R, so they had to take some of the non-kid friendly things out. Like, I guess that it was supposed to show Anakin murdering the younglings (jedi kids) in the original cut. It's already kid of a fuck-up scene without showing it. At least Jar-Jar didn't speak in this one. Mace Windu totally fucked-up the Emperor at first. It sucks that he had to die. The wookie battle seemed like a last-minute add-in. And General Greivous was kinda weak. But that's only because Obi-Wan kicked his ass during a fight that happened before the movie took place. The lightsaber fights were the best I've seen, but they needed more space battles. Oh yeah, after the movie, there was a teenage girl unconscious in the lobby. I was thinking maybe she had a seizure or something. We got back home by 3. It was a fun night.
My sister had her 8th grade grad dance last night. She looked really pretty. My mom took pictures, so when they develop, I'll try to post one.
My musicplayer on this computer is out of wack. That sucks.
I'm hungry, I'm tired, and I'm half naked, so that's enough typing for now. Hasta luego, muchachos.
