My totally excellent job
I got a job yesterday in the introductory biology offices at BU. I have to answer phones, speak with and help students change their classes or make up labs, sort mail, and clean up the reception area once a week. I get paid at least $7/hour, maybe more, and I work 9 hours a week. Yay! I start today, it should be pretty fun. My supervisor told me that you basically just sit around and do nothing. Except instead of nothing, I'll be studying... ...
More on boys-are-weird. Today in Spanish, we were doing the requisite "Hola! Buenos diaz! Me llama Laura. Yo soy independiante!" oral exercises, and the guy next to me says, "Laura, creo que tu eres bonita." Which I guess means that I'm pretty. Nothing like pick up lines in 8:00 am Spanish class, huh? Oh well, he's nice anyway.
It'll probably turn out that he has a girlfriend too. :-)
