PROLOGUE
"Bou!"
Groaning, from sleep, a blond opens his eyes to see his bouncy friend pacing around his room. "What is it Miku? I would like to get some sleep."
Miku ran to the window, annoyed and impatient, opening the window. Bright light cascaded into the room, blinding the blonde out of his sleep. "Okay! Okay! I'm up!" Bou yelled, "What is, whatever that's making you bounce. It's not good in the morning."
Miku laughed at the absurd remark, "I'm bouncy and happy all the time, I would have thought you'd be use to it by now. Anyways," Miku grinned, getting back on topic, "Guess who's going to get out?"
"Who!"
"Uruha has successful snatched a man of sixteen thousand yen a month. Do you know what this means?"
As realization set into his bones, Bou looked up smiling, "Oh my God! Uruha's debt will be paid. He's no longer a servant. How?" Giggling the two ran with their house coats and pjamas, banging on all the doors they could find. People began to gather in the hall, some annoyed for being woken at such an earily hour, some curious as to what was happening. The two blondes stood in front of their fellow servants, out of breath. They were about to say the wonderful news, when an interruption froze everyone in their spots.
"Well, looks like you don't have to wake everyone Uruha." said their boss, Camui Gackt following behind a stunned brunette on the verge of laughter.
"Indeed. I guess Miku ratted me out to Bou." Bou and Miku smiled at each other, "Yet the others look like they don't know by now."
"Know what? I'd like to go back to sleep. It's seven in the morning." Ruki yelled out annoyed.
"I'm getting married. I'm really getting married."
Everyones eyes, lit up, surprised as the excitement fuelled through their veins. A smile broke across Bou's face.

The room was finally empty. It was like he didn't have a roommate. Bou was excited for Uruha, but after the marriage, He felt like he was misplaced. He was like Toshiya, alone, without friend. A friend to give them strenght, courage and who stook up for them. A friend that loved them, like they were special. A best friend. And that friend was now gone.
Bou sat staring at the nightly sky. A moon lit the river below, giving the flowers around a glistening shimmer. The small river was at peace; fish ever so often creating ripples in the water. It made Bou smile. He walked out the door, and followed his steps toward a certain room.

Gackt looked at the papers in front of him. Another debt paid, another success. If laws could be changed, he would change them. If a parent's mistake was the parents fault, the child would be free, but everything wasn't that simple. He sighed. He had thirteen more to go. Distracting him, a knock brought him back to reality. With a clear enter, the servant presented himself.
"Bou? What are you up too? Why are you out of bed?" Gackt asked, worried. He stood up as the blonde looked up, holding a sad expression.
"I-I wanted to get some air. It's a bit stuffy in my room."
"I know. Don't be worried, you'll be successful."
Tears formed in the brown eyes of the blonde, "My parents sold me as their debt, I wear a dress and I scare away everyone that wants me. What am I suppose to do. Uruha is gone. He was my only hope."
"As a boss-"
"Owner!" Bou shouted, shrugging his hands off his shoulders.
"As a Boss! I feel like you don't appreciate the conditions you are living in. However, as your friend - I hope I'm your friend - I understand that it's hard being a servant while your parents are living their dream life, but that's how life is. Now I know that you are very capable in successfully capturing the eye of someone who will love you."
Bou looked at Gackt, shock, "Do you really mean it?"
Gackt gave a blank stare, "Of course Bou. You are too hard on yourself. Indeed and he's a bad influence. Now! I'm going to tell you something that I haven't told the others."
The blond mocked a curious stare he had recently learned from Ruki, "And what would that be?"
"You know that there is the big festival coming soon? Right?"
"Yes?"
"Well I may have gathered a party of seventeen unmarried and good looking males to join me in the festival. And it will be running several days. And, the best part is, they'll be staying here and need servants to serve them."
Bou's eyes glistened with happiness. He nearly bounced for joy, ready to race out of the room to tell the others.
"Oh and Bou?"
"Yes?"
"I've personally offered you to serve someone I know you will enjoy as company. He's going to be here tomorrow afternoon. He lives really far away, so the plan was that he would come early to avoid being late. You won't mind all this?"
"You owe me sleep time for this! What room is he staying in?"

The room was a disaster. Boxes of unwanted stuff prevented the blond from even seeing the floor, a couple of paint buckets hung out on the bed, one opened and gave the blankets a beautiful colouring of green. Doing his best to look on the bright side, he tried not to pay attention to the broken glass shattered by the back wall, nor the hole in the wall just left of him. If Bou was going to get this room cleaned by tomorrow, he needed some help.
Walking down the servants quaters, Bou knocked on door 4: Ruki and Kai's room.
While hoping for the ever caring Kai to opened the door, he simply got a "go away" by Ruki himself.
"Come on guys! If I don't get some help now I'm screwed. And I have news that might interests you all."
The door quickly opened to find two boys. One was, annoyed, bitter and on the vurge of closing the door and the other, smiling obviously interested in what Bou had to say. Both of which were equally impatient as to know what the blond was keeping from them.
"Let's get to the basics: you help me clean the room and I will tell you about what Gackt told me tonight."
Kai was delighted, but Ruki didn't believe any of it, "What do you mean? It's eleven o'clock at night. Can't you get Miku to help you?"
"I'm already helping," A voice came from behind, with an already dressed Miku ready to go.
Bou looked surprised, "Gackt said that you would need some help, so I volunteered earlier on. But he didn't tell me why the room needed to be fixed up. I hope to find out later on."
"You will." With that, four boys set out on an adventure.

"Seventeen!" Kai yelled.
Bou grimanced, "Sh! Keep your voices down!"
Ruki had stopped what he was working on, "But seventeen possible ways to get out of here. I mean that is incredible."
"Is that really all you guys care about. Getting out!" Bou asked the group. "Maybe the reason why we are not successful is because we look for all the wrong traits."
Ruki laughed, "Are you kidding me? What happened to the Bou Minisuka that practically drolled over men who had 15 000 yen a month."
"He's gone." Bou announced, "I am so sick and tired of being control from men. I am a man, so what is so wrong with me that I can't play their games too. Listen, if you three are up to it, we'll go for love." Miku, Kai and Ruki stood, not moving, "I mean. If we marry and they pay off our debts, we are stuck with them forever, so why not be happy?"
A smile broke out on all four faces. Miku stepped in, "We don't know how to make a man fall in love with us. Are you not forgetting that we are barely capable of seducing a man for his money."
"Well, Uruha gave me his old journal. He had ten rules on seducing men. With a few changes we can possibly find someone who will love us."
Ruki walked away from the group, picking up two paint cans, "I'll do it! And we better get to this room quick. We don't want Gackt on our asses tomorrow."
Bou looked at the two still standing. Slowly, they started to break apart into their jobs, each eventually agreeing to Bou's plan. The only thing that was on the blond's mind, was whether or not he will be successful. This was his last possible chance.

"Good morning Teruki." Gackt stated with thirteen trembling servants behind him. The two hugged, or seemed to hug to the unsuspecting servants, although Bou paid close attention.
"So which one are you trying to set me up with this time?" Teruki questioned.
"The blond boy at the end. His name is Bou. He's a sweetheart. You'd be lucky to have him. Give him a chance."
"Alright, but I'm not looking to buy, I'm looking to keep."
"You always had good morals Teruki." The two parted ways and Gackt began introducing Teruki to the several servants.
"You have, Saga, Hiroto, Shinya, Toshiya," Gackt smiled as he pasted by the noir haired boy, "Ruki, Kai, Yumehito, Intetsu, Ryouhei, Inzargi, Takuya, Miku and your servant Bou."
Bou thought that Gackt overstressed his name a bit, but the tall and strikingly handsome man standing in front of him made him realize just why. He wasn't overly muscled, but he made a plain business suit look good, with warm brown eyes that brought a smile onto Bou's face.
The man shyly smiled and laughed, "Wow. I never knew of you, or else I would have requested you to serve me months ago."
"Thank you" Bou said bowing, "I hope not to disappoint you."
Turning to Gackt, "I thought you didn't force them to be so formal."
"They call me Gackt, not Gackt-sama at least."
Teruki sighed, "That's a start."
"Um...I hate to break this up, but I still have to show Teruki his room." Bou pointed, walking toward the guest room, Ruki, Kai and Miku helped him clean yesterday. It was a long night of scrubbing, laughing and making more of a mess than what was already there. All four of them were lucky to have the room done in time.
Teruki followed his beautiful guide up stairs. He wore a long black skirt, that met his knees. His upper half was a ironed perfect black jacket with a white top underneath. It bared enough neck to tempt any man into wanting him. He had a huge bun, holding his hair up and our of his way. He was plain, but Teruki liked it. Tapping his shoulder Teruki stopped the blond, earning him a questionable glance. Blushing at his mistake, he just mention to go to the bathroom, earning him a small laugh from the blond.
"It's over here." Bou pointed to a door "Just left when you came of the staircase." Noding, Teruki went into the bathroom, closing the door and spraying his face with cold water. That was close.

Bou stood by the door waiting. It was more, trying to think. He could not believe that this man was actually shy to be around him. Maybe Gackt was right?
Bou fell against the wall, taking in a deep breath. He was close to his goal, but he didn't know what to do with it. Looking beside him, he saw the table Yumehito and Ryouhei destroyed a month ago. It lost two legs, which have been replaced by nails in the wall. On it held a lone candle in a plain candle holder. They both sat on a table cloth that covered just the center of the table. It had patterns of vines; each trying to bring each other down to reach their goal. One vine just touches the gold hem at the side, as its partner shoots for the end of the cloth.
It confused Bou to no end. One vine, takes the easy way, going off to the side, and the other fights it's way to the very top.
"What's interesting?" Teruki said, scaring the blond's attention towards him.
Shocked Bou retorted, "Don't do that again."
"Definitely, last time we scared Bou, we all wound up with bloody noeses because his arms couldn't stop flailing around like a madman." Ryouhei said, as Yumehito stood behind him.
"Ah! The wonderful duo have come to join us." Bou replied sarcastically, "And what have we done for such wonderful company?"
"Marie has some tasks for you, that you might want to tend to," Ryouhei winked taking Teruki by the arm, "Allow me to show you where your room is while he tends to his chores."
Bou glared at the three walking away. Ryouhei was one of the many problems which prevented him from marrying. Whenever a man showed up, he would be the first one after him, even if the man had interests in someone else. Ryouhei went to top lenghs to destory anyone's happiness and was nearly successful. The only one he had difficult with, was involving Uruha. Uruha's confidence, skills in matchmaking and sex appeal made it hard for Ryouhei to break. This fusturated the bruenette to no end, but now, Uruha was gone. Leaving Ryouhei to his destructive ways. However it was never beneficial to Ryouhei, because the boy angered everyone he was with by is over active personality. And once denied, Ryouhei's temper became worse, until a new project came knocking on the door.
Bou felt sick leaving Teruki with the duo, but Marie's voice brought him back into reality; looking at the face of the head-maid of the Gackt House. She was a small woman, but rounded. Her cheeks puffed out, and her brow was always knitted. Her brown eyes, gave warmth and her lips always formed a smile. That is, when she was happy.
Marie turned to face Bou, "Teruki eh? I remember the lad from when he was only six years old. He's a shy fellow, but very agreeable. I even remember a time when he wanted to help me in the kitchen. He got the flour all over him that night."
"Yes ma'am." Bou answered, lowering his head.
"Bou? Look at me!" She placed her hand underneath Bou's chin, lifting his head, "I hope you don't let Ryouhei steal your catch. I don't care what I order you to do; when you are with him, you must ignore my orders and continue to serve him."
A hand touched Bou's shoulder from behind, causing Bou to turn around. Gackt stood smiling at him. "I'm very proud of you Bou. The same goes with me; ignore my orders when with him. Unless it's breaking the rules and then I will literally lock you in your room forever."
The blonde looked at Gackt and Marie. "I won't fail you."
Gackt mock a sargents greeting, "Alright private, get back to completing your mission."
"Yes sir!"

The journal was still in it's home, from before Uruha's leave. The binding was worn, with the lock broken from years of over use. In this, was the vital information that the four needed to succeed in love. Ruki laid his head on Uruha's former pillow, as Kai and Miku sat on Bou's bed. The blond opened the book, as a block of paper fell from within the journal. All four looked at the neatly tied bundle on the floor. Their eyes followed the others, daring someone to pick up the pile, but none volunteering. Bou sighed, bending downward, lifting up the piece as if it was the holy grail. He untied the bundle and opened the first letter on the top, reading it aloud.
"Dear Bou,
Within this bundle, I've left you ten ways that I used to gain a mans attention. Each will help you either gain sex appeal, or attention, but both are vital in snatching a good match. Don't let Ryouhei control your happiness. I feel sorry for the man stupid enough to marry him in the future.
The most important thing I want to leave you with, is be confident. My friend, you are always putting yourself down. You will never concer your dreams by not believing in yourself. I believe in you. So I urge you to continue on to Part 1 of 10, in getting a man.
Yours Truly,
Uruha."
He opened the second letter. The First Rule:
"Select a Target. By narrowing down your choices in men, you are making it easier to find out more about the man you selected. This will help you in your road for love."
"Select a target? Well Bou, looks like you have your choice." Miku laughed.
Bou began laughing as well, "Yes. My Target is Teruki."
"And may Ryouhei fall down to the pits of hell." Ruki added, "Or may someone restrain me."
"Ruki that's enough, Gackt-san would not appreciate murder within his own house." Kai responded.
"Well that two-faced moron makes it hard to follow what Gackt appreciates."
And with that, the day ends, leaving the four to their dreams in hopes of finding true happiness.

A/N: This was a story I'm actually writing for a mark, but I find such joy in writing it. Deveolping the characters is fun. I didn't intend on making Ryouhei the antagonist, but I had a huge change in mind. Also I didn't plan on Marie to show up, but I figured I needed a female character seeing as Gackt will have his hands full in the comindg chapters.
PLEASE COMMENT! If anything is confusing, or doesn't flow right, letting me know will help me to improve my writing. I'm a critic, so I can handle being told what I should correct. Your critism means the world to me.
