If you believe the administration, we're supposed to think that the nuclear crisis with the terrorist Iran can be handled peacefully. There is evidently some diplomatic solution always just around the corner, Fine, so where is it? Sure haven't seen it yet have we!?!
The White House likes to say Iran will not be allowed to have a nuclear program...and that there will be consequences for their continued pursuit of weapons of mass destruction. But what are we really going to do about it? Evidently the next step is to go to the U.N. Security Council. Oh yeah, that will solve all the problems won't it? The UN has such a wonderful track record of preventing and solving international conflicts. I'm going to sleep so well tonight knowing that the UN is on the job! Come on, what do you think the UN is going to do? Russia has already said that it is going to oppose the imposition of sanctions. Can the Security Council act with a Russian veto? I highly doubt it.
So today brings a warning from the mullahs in Tehran. They threatened the United States yesterday with "harm and pain" if we try to use the U.N. to impose sanctions. This just as we hear the news that the Iranians have enough nuclear material for 10 atomic bombs. The harm and pain Iran spoke of inflicting on us seems to mean using oil as a weapon. Although it could also point to supplying terrorists with atomic weapons, dirty bombs and so forth.
It may well turn out here that our only option is a military one. Hopefully there are not many Americans out there who think that we should allow this hate-filled Islamic government to get its hands on nuclear weapons. The question is, do we have the national will to do what may be necessary here? Have the Democrats so damaged our will to fight that Americans would rather sit back and allow Iran, a terrorist state, to become a nuclear power?
The only other option would be to let Israel handle this on there own. And they will, they have done so before. However they have since requested US help on this issue. Personally I fully support to idea of a joint Israel let strike.
IMHO -- Turn Iran in to a glass parking lot for all I care. We have robots and machines that can extract the oil if need be. Not that we really need it. There is plenty of oil in the US and off the cost. And will the rigs going in down in FL, I think we will be set for oil for quite a few years.
