Covert Affairs - and whether I like it or not
I've still not decided if I like Covert Affairs enough to watch the second season. The primary problem is that the lead actress is DIRE, but unlike in Dollhouse there aren't enough secondaries to be able to take the attention away from her acting. I think this was cemented today by watching a 'gag-reel' which was primarily her fluffing lines and cocking up stunts.
That said, Kari Matchett. (Who does trump a lot of things)
Also, I do love that the actor playing what in the first season was pretty much the blind comic relief has managed to pull it off with so much style, and with so much research and personal involvement that you really believe in his character. To the extent where fandom has pretty much gone... "Yeah, we know this guy was supposed to be the romantic interest, or possibly this guy over here... but we want Auggie. Screw them."
I know shows like this love and play on UST because they're not adult enough to showcase a stable relationship, but a disabled guy capable of holding down a stable relationship would be something we don't often seen on Tv. *wants*
Anyway, the question is... Do I watch?
