Snow Up and Downs
So, it's gorgeous outside, I love snow, and I'm thankful for the surprising weather...but you can stop already!
Seriously, any other week, I'd be ecstatic over snow, totally thrilled, snow fights, snow men, all that jazz. But WHY did it have to be this week? Amy and I barely got all my shit out of the old apartment saturday, cleaned the thing like crazy, woohoo! Our plans for sunday were to drive in again, and get all the stuff out of Dui's apartment that I'm taking when she leaves. However, we wake up, and the worlds a fucking winter wonderland. Gorgeous, magical, but NOT HELPING!
So, I haven't been able to get my car out since. We live on a somewhat nasty hill, and while we can easily walk up a street to the big road and easy busline, we have to go down and around when driving. We COULD have gotten out yesterday, but I realized too late, and didn't seize the day. Plus, we had lovely better plans with Jenni! The good news is, we were able to move most of our shit into either Robin's car or Mel's apartment, and I owe them both some kickass Christmas presents. But, now they're stuck at Mel's place, with no way to get them out, and I'm sure they're annoying. We were supposed to move them today, but I was a further moron and assumed everything would stay warm. Grrrr.
Well, in my defense, when does it ever actually get this cold? When does it consistently snow for multiple days in a row, and actually stick? I may be a moron, but at least it's justifiable...
In other news, it really is lovely out! I hope it stops long enough for me to get safely back to Eugene, and then traps us in our house once we're all safe, warm, and supplied wtih a full refrigerator.
