Hazza America!

I was so moved by the elections. It's just...wow. It feels unreal, like something out of a book or something. I'm very proud that this was the first Presidential Election I was old enough to participate in. And I'm proud at the voter turnout this year. They were talking about how high the Youth vote was, and that just makes me really happy!

I was very impressed by both McCain and Obama's speeches. McCain's was very respectful, and I liked that he looked kind of annoyed that his supporters kept booing. Obama's speech totally blew me away. I loved how inclusive he was--how he specifically addressed the people who voted against him, saying that he'll still be their president too, and he won't ignore their issues.

Regardless of your political views, I think we can all agree that this is an amazing victory for American equality. We're one step closer to not being complete hypocrites.

On another note...my fucking fire alarm needs new batteries, and so has been beeping every 40 seconds since about 4:00am. I'm so fucking not cool with this, but I have to wait for them to send one of the matinance people to deal with it. Silly dorms. Fortunately, blasting Avril Lavigne totally drows the beeping out. I feel kind of sorry for my neighbors, though...
