October 8th

This weekend is going to be so exciting. Another good thing is is that this week is moving very quickly, so Saturday will be here in no time.

Yes, Saturday is the Dragon Classic, the beginning of all of our competitions, although we really don't compete in this one. It's from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, but I have to be there at 8:-8:30-ish to work at the concessions at 9:00 (am). Whoever is able to make it at any time, it's going to be really fun (I'm not sure if it cost money, but I'll check).

Well, like I said before, Dragon Classic is just the beginning, and on October 8th, we have a full day competition. For those of you who don't realize what this date means, it's Homecoming. So although I'll actually get to go to the dance and stuff, I'll only have a few hours to get ready (including shower, etc). And.. I don't know. My parents have told me that I'm "not allowed" to have a "date" for homecoming. Yeah, either I'm going to have to change their minds because this is my last one here EVER, or I'll just go with someone anyway without them knowing about it (which might be more exciting anyway). A few people have been really close to asking, and it was sort of obvious, but it was really cute, but I don't know. I really would rather go with someone that I know pretty well. Someone who knows me pretty well. Yeah. Mehr.

The fact that we're moving is really starting to set into me. Deep. One good thing about it is that I'm doing things that I would never have tried otherwise, but now that I know people aren't even going to remember me within the next year, it doesn't matter anymore. There's still some things that I want to do before I leave, some things that I'd like to give another try at but probably won't, and some things that I'll wait to say until my final day here..

On a slightly happier note about that subject, I'd love to get a group together to go to the cornmaze in October. See, corn is basically Illinois' trademark, and in Utah, the corn doesn't get above 4' (so a cornmaze out there would be pretty pointless). Yeah.

Well, this is already ramble-y and too long for anyone to sit down and read, so I'll say toodles now!

<3ALWAYS, Lynette
