My Last Continent

A novel combining scientific research, climate change, adventure and romance--not too shabby. Lots of information about penguins, and who doesn't love them? At times I can tell that the author is a little beyond her reach in terms of how she describes the culture of science and uses certain terms, but in general a good book that would make a great movie--lots of action (Titanic-type disaster), cute animals, great landscapes--I could definitely see it.
